I’ve been married to my dear wife Barbara for 55 years. We have two grown sons, and two adopted grandsons, ages 20 and 15. Our life centers around our extended family, and thus we currently live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I retired from the Air Force Reserve after 26 years in 1993, and retired from Federal Service (Air Force) with 34 years of service in 2000. Following retirement, I worked an additional 7 years for General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems before finally leaving the workforce.
Since 2015 I’ve been self employed as a professional photographer, and enjoying every minute of it! I enjoy getting to see new places, meeting new people, and studying my craft to strive for continuous improvement. My photo equipment includes 2 Nikon cameras (Z6 and Z50 mirrorless), several Nikon lenses, several lights and light modifiers, a MeFotto tripod, light stands, backdrops and assorted filters. I use Adobe Photoshop CC for post processing and ProShow Producer software for producing slide shows (mostly about travel) set to music.
My Portfolio includes head shots, portraits, family shoots, youth and college sports, commercial/residential real estate photography, and special events such as family reunions, graduations, anniversaries, corporate events, baptisms, birthday parties, and quinceaneras. As we entered our 7th decade in life, I decided to step into the realm of social media and share some of our adventures and experiences through the media of digital photography and written word – my very own blog! I try to add to my photographic knowledge and skills every week, and I hope that as I take this journey my blogging skills will improve as well.
