On Monday, January 18, I took my adopted grandson Jim and his friend snowboarding at Ski Santa Fe. It was Martin Luther King Day, so it was a holiday for many and there was no school. It was a perfect day to enjoy the outdoors, the snow, and the beautiful scenery! The roads were clear, and the weather was perfect – about 40 degrees, sunny, and no wind. The boys spent about 5 hours on the slopes, and I got the opportunity to wander about and enjoy capturing photographs of the abundant snow-covered vistas. I used my Nikon D7100 with Nikon 28-80mm F3.5-5.6 zoom lens – lightweight, versatile, and easy to carry. The boys had a great time and I got to practice skills in photo composition and getting the right exposure in a variety of lighting conditions. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed capturing them!
